Tiny mug rugs ~10x10cm
Navajo inspired
The pattern in these rugs is inspired by the Navajo tribe of Arizona. True Navajo rugs do not have a fringe and are made of wool. My rugs are made of cotton. Each of these patterns requires the use of three shuttles or long needles at the same time.

How it's done
I create these rugs in plain weave with the help of Allgauer weaving loom (Allgauer Webrahmen).
I first warp the loom vertically with low stretch yarn.
Then I pull the shuttles with yarns of different colors under and over the vertical threads to create the diamond pattern below.I beat down the weaving with a comb.

The rotating heddle bar helps to raise every other vertical thread.
My weaving arsenal
Currently I own three Allgauer weaving looms of different sizes with a hedlle bar and one small weaving loom without a heddle bar.
Ready to be used!
